Last Valentine’s Day, I had the pleasure of being invited to experience the exquisite offerings at Vermilion in Manchester, a hidden gem that seamlessly combines spectacular design, luxurious atmosphere, and lavish Asian fusion cuisine. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant is known for its eclectic mix of Thai, Modern Indian, and influences from Japanese and Korean cuisines, making it the perfect destination for a romantic evening out.
As I entered Vermilion, I was immediately struck by the stunning decor that transports you to the exotic East. The three-floor labyrinth features six beautifully designed spaces, each catering to different dining experiences—from intimate dinners to grand events. The ambiance was both opulent and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a special night.
The Valentine’s Day menu was a true testament to Vermilion’s culinary prowess. Each dish was a visual feast, artfully presented and bursting with flavor. I savored a selection of signature dishes that highlighted the restaurant’s commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. The fusion of flavors from different Asian cuisines was beautifully balanced, making each bite a delightful surprise.
One of the highlights of my evening was dining at the Maharaja Table. Enclosed within elegant black grid partitions, this ornate circular table provided an intimate dining experience unlike any other. The rotating center added a touch of whimsy, allowing us to share and sample a variety of delectable dishes while enjoying the luxurious surroundings.
To complement the culinary delights, Vermilion offers a cocktail menu that is as impressive as its food. The theatrical cocktails were crafted with precision, each telling a unique story through its flavors. I indulged in a refreshing concoction that perfectly paired with my meal, enhancing the overall experience.
As the evening progressed, the ambiance transformed with live music from Bay Bryan, the resident acoustic singer. His renditions of classic tracks and contemporary hits added a delightful soundtrack to our dining experience, making it all the more memorable.
After our meal, we made our way to Cinnabar, Vermilion’s exclusive bar. This vibrant space was the perfect spot to unwind with a nightcap. The tiered seating, stylish low tables, and iconic VIP Cocoons Booths provided a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. The mixologists at Cinnabar showcased their skills, serving up expertly crafted cocktails that were both visually stunning and delicious.
Vermilion truly offers a unique food, drink, and socializing experience that makes it a standout destination in Manchester.
